Technical Detail
Kingmach precision load cells are resistance strain force sensors. The core components are mature full-bridge foil strain gauges and matched with stainless steel or alloy steel elastomers. What is different from ordinary force sensors is the process details we have accumulated in the geological monitoring industry: the sealing level generally reaches IP67 or higher, the long-term zero-point drift control is within the mainstream level of the industry, and the linearity and repeatability errors are usually less than 0.1% FS. The product line covers multiple ranges and structural forms - compression type, S type, and spoke type. It also supports customized flange sizes or special threaded interfaces. In geological engineering, these sensors are often used to monitor the internal force of the primary support of tunnels, measure the axial force of anchors in deep foundation pits, and monitor the reaction force in static load tests of pile foundations. Because the output can be directly connected to common collection instruments, on-site installation and debugging are easier. First estimate the maximum expected load, and then multiply it by a safety factor of 1.2 to 1.5. For example, if the design anchor tension is 500kN, it is more appropriate to choose a 600–750kN range. Note that long-term monitoring may cause stress relaxation, and it is safer to leave a margin. Kingmach can be customized according to non-scalar ranges, and you do not necessarily have to buy the standard range.
We recommend using it with a surge protector. If it is indeed damaged by lightning strikes, Kingmach provides repair services. For emergency projects, spare parts can be dispatched from the nearest overseas warehouse to reduce downtime.
For long cable transmission of more than 100 meters, the 4-20mA current signal is more resistant to electromagnetic interference than the mV voltage signal. Kingmach can provide both. If the acquisition equipment has a mV channel, it can be used without a transmitter, but the on-site wiring should avoid strong power cables.
